The Panny has a brighter presentation. The C-100 is more balanced and natural. The C-100 is more refined with no noticable digital edge. The Panny can be edgey on some music, even after break-in. The Panny needs a looooonnnng break-in period because it is shrill at first.
Both are equally detailed, which is to say VERY detailed. Both present fantastic and precise 3d imaging. Of course the MMGs are contributing to all this as well.
The bottom line is that the C-100 pulls off the trick of presenting subtle detail/imaging without the brightness and fatigue.
