... so I think you'll be very happy with the GCC-250. I've had this amp longer than I've kept any other and still have no desire to move on to something else, though I have had it modified. The PS Audio amps are very open and have a huge soundstage... both of which seem to work well with Maggies to my ears. Detail is fantastic without coming off as hyper-detailed in that it remains in correct proportion to the instrument/vocal images. Of course they do a great job of grabbing hold of the panels on the low end, but don't necessarily extend the bass as much as they make it better defined and delineated (at least in comparison to my previous amps).
Is your GCC-250 new or has it been used or modified? In going back and reading my initial post on this amp, I found that it sounded good out of the box, but had a bit of haze on the very top end for the first 100 hours or so. Might have been my adjusting to the amp's different sound (or the homebrew I was drinking at the time).
