Just kidding!!!
Just got a used pair for $350 in perfect condition. I was leary of the placement requirements (small room), missing bass, and HUGE power requirements. These things are FANTASTIC for the $$$.
I'm currently driving w/ a Naim Nait 5i and source is a Jolida JD-100 feeding a benchmark Dac-1. Imaging, soundstage size, resolution of detail...it's all there, but, most of all, they just sound musical and "right".
I realize I probably need more power. I have a PS Audio GCC-250 on it's way. Anyone using PS Audio or other class D amps with success? Can you comment on the sound?
Also, any recs on my source? I'm happy with the sound, but I know I'm not getting much benefit from the Jolida, so I may just sell it and buy a cheaper Oppo for a transport. Or, should I look to get tubes into the mix somewhere? I'd like to add a hard drive/computer server in the very near future, and the Benchmark will work with that. Thoughts??
Anyway, the MMG's are definitely keepers (even with my system as it is).
Very happy to have joined the "cult". Thanks for any advice...
P.S. Since I'm enjoying them so much, I've already added my name to PG's mod list.
