Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Jon Risch, an engr. (of Tweakers' Asylum) wrote a treatise on Jitter some time ago (about 2002, I think) in which he maintains that Jitter consists of timing errors that can be set up thruout the CDP's digital circuitry due to a wide variety of problems, largely caused by sags in the power inputs to all data handling IC's, clock, etc. He also maintains that JITTER CAN ONLY OCCUR AT THE DAC. His treatese should be available in the archives of Tweakers' Asylum and is well worth the read.
