In my CDP transport section, replacing various surface-mount coupling caps & resistors in the digital signal path, with high-quality radial-lead teflon caps & 1% resistors, made a large improvement in resolution & transparency. Similar improvements were obtained by improving the quality of DC power to transport section DSPs unrelated to timing. So jitter is likely not the only bogeyman in the digital domain.Dave
