Still, there is a difference. I can make analog noise as low as I can afford to parallel fets. This is pretty low noise, and comparable to digital noise.
However, in principle, you CAN remove the dither and then what? I see a triangle wave turned into a staircase.
However, IF this triangle wave was surrounded by noise, because the reproduction electronics was somewhat noisy, and then I removed the noise by substituting low noise electronics, the triangle wave would be virtually perfect, especially compared to the digital equivalent.
I think that this is where the difference between digital and analog is most important. What do you think?
