that my buddies are learning is that the combination of ingredients is what makes the whole; no one componant be it cable, amp, or speakers stands alone. I also hope that they are learning that cost is not the primary factor in whether or not a given piece is valuable.As far as the Tao cable goes, I do what SE did for me; I lend the cables to my friends to try in their system and see if they help or not. It's been a mixed bag, on some systems the cables help, on others they dont.
As you can imagine most folks (those with, say, lives) dont go to the extremes I did to match things. Then, again, they do get to benefit from my experiments (failures and sucesses both).
