on the one hand, to judge by the history of threads here on the AA, you're willing to argue tooth and nail for your can't rule out non-audible contributions to perceptions position, yet on the other have no interest in testing the proposition.

The proposition has already been tested. Perceiving differences due to non-audible contributions has been well-established for decades. That being the case, you can't rule it out until it's been, well, ruled out. Duh.

And the onus of ruling it out falls on the shoulders of those making claims of actual audibility. Preferably by means other than ego, vanity, and denial.

My proposition is simply one of basic logic. If you have an outcome that may come about through more than one possibility, you can't rightfully claim that it was due to one particular possibility until you've ruled out all of the other possibilities.
