Sure - but:
- what does that have to do with the subject at hand? And why is it so impossible to pay attention to both (source and DAC, in our case)?
- as you're probably aware, there's the whole forum of cheap, deaf, dumb numbnuts (HydrogenAudio), who build their systems around loudspeakers and nothing else, or at least pretend to - what does that tell you? Should their advice be taken over someone who pays attention to cabling?
Finally, it can be argued - and is my conviction - that low(er)-resolution sources like Apple, untweaked PCs etc. ARE the reason that people who use them underestimate importance of the source. In other words, they would probably change their tune, if given a thoroughly optimized, tweaked source - but that's a Catch 22 situation.
