I understand what you're saying. 12AX7s without a sonic signature do not exist. Much the same can be said for one's choice in speakers. If the synergy is there and you like the results, then go listen to some music that touches your very soul. Music is much more fun that the electronics. I keep telling myself that. You are right. OTLs are coming of age. Life is good.
