RE: What causes some speakers to be fatiguing?

I've had this problem myself and I found that it's caused by too much volume in the 2khz. to 4 or 5khz midrange region. It's not from horns or lack of bass. My speakers sounded supper clear ,voices ,the sounds of the guitarist fingers zipping up and down the strings going to the next note ,almost surreal. At first it sounds great, then after awhile it starts to get fatiguing. The only way to fix it is to flatten it out.
