Transients and reflections creating glare that masks low level information. If low level spatial cues are lost, sound from different sources (instruments) is blended (homogenized), which may cause listening fatigue.
A good test for low level detail is listening to one channel only. If you hear distinct, well separated instruments, and can percieve depth, then your playback is capable of retreiving low level information.
Horns are dynamic and sensitive, which is very impressive, but they tend to homogenize the sound.
