Home High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

I understand your points and appreciate your efforts to educate me

Given what I have to work with I have two options. I could use a pair of 15's per side on 33" wide flat baffles and add 33" "wings" if/as desired. Or I could use a pair of 12's on (same) flat baffles and add a quad of 15's as a monoploe sub-woofer (two individual boxes). For the first cut, I will go with an active crossover and bi-amp or tri-amp depending.

The drivers are mid-line eminence but I do have a pair of high Qts 15's cheapies I could try as well. So as you can tell, I am just looking to establish a promising direction and go from there.

Down the road I envision a pair of drivers in a H or U baffle and not needing the monopole subwoofer but we will see. Girlfriend or not I do need to be resonable:) Top end is a compression driver/CD horn (which I will keep I think), mids are paper cone/open baffle (which may change). Until I change the mids I need the woofers to run up to around 250 hertz though.
