I did not do all at once. The biggest improvement for me was as I see it in descending order (I think it is called descending :-) )
1. The screened an-s cable. And placement of this. That should not be a problem though if the OPT's are placed according to the manual.
2. The 1. point grounding. If not 1. point, keep the silver strip below the m3 board as short as possible and try to gather most of the ground points (caps, resistors etc) as close to each other as possible.
3. The placement of the choke.
I have also thought about placement away from other sources, and it makes a significant effect on hum related issues.
For the dac2.1 kit I had to remove the mains ground from the iec inlet. That made it silent. For the m3 - this makes no or very little difference.
