All this info is good to hear. I do like the sound of the Counterpoint and am enjoying the true sound and length of all the bass notes. I was just wondering if what I was hearing was "somewhat normal" or expected and in general the answer is yes but always with exceptions.
Both speakers I am using are 4ohm and within 1 or 2 db sensitivity. The Clearfields never really had much low end but do sound better with the Counterpoint. The Danes also sound good but without the low end slam. I can get used to that though.
I am going to try things with my pair of JM Labs Tantal 509s and a pair of Dynaudio 42s. I'm betting both of them should sound nice.
