I have a lot of hours listening to both the MMG and the 1.6. The 1.6 is a much better system, no contest. I would take the 1.6 without a sub, than any MMG/sub combo and I run my MMGs with a Parasound A21, Audio Research pre and a 12 inch Velodyne HGS. I'm getting all I can get out of the MMGs (in a stock configuration) but the 1.6s are just a whole lot better all around. Get the 1.6s.
