RE: The full quote is rather less negative

It's based I think on a quote I remember from one of the reviews. But I just did a search to check it and if this is the one I remembered it wrong:

"The 20.7 features a newly designed quasi-ribbon midrange driver, which is said to have half the mass of the quasi-ribbon panel in the 3.7, making for a better fit with the featherweight tweet and the highest midband resolution of any single-panel Maggie I’ve auditioned."

So -- half the mass of the 3.7? That does say anything about how the mass compares to the 20.1.

I also found this:

"Another major improvement over the 3.7's is that the conductor elements, in the 20.7's midrange section of the diaphragm, have 1/2 the mass. You can just imagine, in addition to the improved sonic characteristics already mentioned, just how much this improves the detail of the midrange coming out of these 'instruments'.

"The crossovers are very similar, if not the same, and employ a series topology in the signal path versus most crossovers which use a parallel topology."
