I have a tda 2200 and acoustat 2+2, i bought the amp on a bet from the distributor. He said we never get them back, try it. I did and was hooked very quickly. The amp replaced everything I had. It is as or more powerful than my Hafler 500. The analog preamp easily bested my tube preamp. The lack of fans and cool running make it a joy to Use. Although I will concede the turtable sounds somewhat better than straight in digital it is close and the ease of listening has me listening to a squeezebox with downloaded files on my pc most of the time. Wide open with no signal there is NO hum or hiss with your ear on the speaker. Now for the god part. The room perfect when used once can not be turned off to bypass mode. The fixes the Lyngdorf does to the room sound is what we are all chasing by changing everything endlessly. A strange thing happened when I got the Lyngdorf , it has such tremendous low level resoloution I can enjoy listening at lower volumes. I have owned magnepans but have not heard them with the Lyngdorf, but the Acoustats are a very difficult load and evrything works well.If I get maggies in the future I will buy a straight lyngdorf amp and use the internal crossover to power both amps. One caution if you use a MC cartridge you must get a low level phono stage, the Lyngdorf is a line level analog input.
