Why the shaker when the mylar provides all the shaking needed? And in all the right places. Don't forget that the shaker is just push/pull. and at a frequency, right? Not to mention that the shaker needs to be connected 3 different ways. UP / DOWN LEFT/ RIGHT FORWARD/BACKWARD
Or, best case, all 3 at once.
Use a variety of test tones so when you publish, others can use the same tones with the same methodology. Use a voltmeter so you get the same energy to the panel. Repeating tests with way different results either means the tests are not valid or were done differently. When YOU repeat the same test and get different results than YOU did something wrong or differently.
Read the stereophile article linked here......somewhere. This is good stuff. While they like the 'rap test', driving the speaker with test tones is there preferred method.
