Well, remind me later if you don't see it soon and I'll write up a simplified version of what I used to measure the effect (not the vibration itself) of Razoring and the P-Frames.
I use a calibrated mic...however, it just ocurred to me that many people can do it with basic stuff, most of it already at hand. Since the readings are relative, all they need to do is observe some easy rules.
I've gotta find if there is a (trustworthy & safe) free or trial version of the old CoolEdit Pro available for people here to get. Or, Adobe Audition (same thing, improved) may still have a trial version.
After this type of test showed that I was not hearing things, I stopped fooling around. Kill as much vibration as possible outside the Mylar, that's my motto. Stiffen it all or accept the coloring (which is not always bad).
Solid concrete or steel may be ideal for a frame, after all. Full-Razoring is a grand additional tool for the areas that can't otherwise be stiffened.
