Not sure what direction I'll go

I'm a fairly handy guy. generally if I need to do it, I can learn how. But in this case I wonder how long a repair by me may last. I don't want to do it again a few years down the road. Further I've recently bought a "fixer upper" home for my family. I literally work 55+ hours a week and have house projects EVERY day off. I bought these speakers to go with my new amplifier as a means of some relaxation.

At this point, the seller has offered a small partial refund. I'm inclined to see how Magnepan can help.
