Hi ocezam,
Sorry that it has turned out to be delamination. I know that must be a disappointment. There is a great deal of advice about DIY repair for this problem on this board. Mostly contributed by Peter Gunn, I believe. And those who have reported in using that method. You will have to size that up to decide if it is something that you feel good about tackling.
If you go the way of having Magnepan repair them for you then I think you will be happy with their customer care. The primary challenge is shipping the speakers. I feel that their prices are reasonable for repairing this kind of problem (perhaps $425, give or take) depending on what they quote the job as. The 2.6's that I bought used cost less than $500 for Magnepan to refasten the wires and to rebuild the ribbons. They were hesitant to tell me anything until they got to inspect the speakers. But I did feel like they were more interested in repairing my speakers than taking advantage of what I needed. It might be worth it to discuss your shipping options to keep the costs down.
Good luck with how this works out for you.
