I listened today to songs that I have heard 1000 times (Runaround Sue, Soul and Inspiration, Your Body is a Wonderland, So Far Away) and I can now make out every word the singer sings. Its not buried in the instruments. That's a first, these are songs I have listened to for years, and now the lyrics are clear. And the tape hiss on what I thought was the best recorded CD, Vollenweider live. The resolution is amazing. I put on CD "3D" by Steve Oliver, and it sounded like the best vinyl ever, without clicks or pops. The guitar does not budge one inch in any direction.
Larry Carlton's Smiles and Smiles to Go, on his greatest hits. I never heard the keyboards as double tracked. Here, there is one center, and one right channel. I have heard this poorly recorded tune many times, never heard half of the percussion effects I hear now. Not with my Mc 402 and 3.6s!!
btw, I have read that I overpaid, and that in fact all these digital amps are the same, and could have gotten the exact same sound with the Murano for $699.00 new or D-Sonic for $1499.00.
I called the demise of SACD and DVD Audio.
I am putting my money on ICE replacing SS, which is "..as obsolete as warships in the Baltic..".
Where's my Sweetwater CD?

- thank you. One major change is clarity of lyrics. - Duilawyer 20:32:09 03/26/08 (0)
