He is Basically saying what Ive been saying all along. If a surge hits the cable line , the surge is going into the ground {soil } as opposed to the house . Thats good enough for me. The surge goes into the dirt, not the home electrical box. I have no hum. I am happy.
Lets just agree to disagree as all the fans have left the Race Track.
Ground Issue aside Anyone who cares enough about their electronics saftey should have surge protection which I do , As Im sure you do too. We are not subject to violent Thunderstorms in the NorthEast, but on the rare occasions that we are , I always unplug everything anyway, no matter what mine or your position is on grounding.
I think that is wise thing to do , Im sure you would agree.
