If you can see where the cable line enters your home chances are the cable tv ground is tied in with your electrical ground. Take the ground from the cable line , buy a cheap Radio Shack ground rod, take the cable TV ground wire off your electrical ground , attach it to the rod , stick the rod in the ground, And you will have no more cable TV related ground loop problems.Huh? I always thought the grounding problem with cable TV systems was because the cable TV ground WASN'T connected to the AC ground.
How does grounding the cable system at some point other than the AC ground reduce the ground potential (and the subsequent interchassis currents responsible for the noise) between the cable box and your audio gear?
