Bonding the cable ground to the service entrance ground is a safety issue. You might not be concerned about it now, but if your house burns due to a lightning strike, that will keep you up at night. The reason why yours got better by disconnecting from house ground is because you broke a ground loop. You are probably grounded to your house ground through your equipment. So instead of lightning being directed to your house ground on the outside of your house, it goes through your house and equipment first. Not good! You should break the ground loop inside the house, and leave the outside ground connected. You may not lose sleep, but you shouldn't advise others to lose their house.
