The (later) Stasis topology can be seen as having two output stages (EF and CE), but both are directly connected to the actual load. The CE stage is driven off the collectors of the EF stage, and its output current mirrors the EF output but is about 10 times greater. By virtue of this arrangement, distortion in the output section is .1% or less, making global NFB unnecessary. There is, however, a feedback loop around the front-end section, which basically is configured as a cascoded bi-fet op-amp. Hope this helps.
