Don't forget the wiring whiel you've got the walls open. Put in more outlets than you think you'll ever need, and on all the (someday you may want to put an amp between the speakers under that window, for example). Search the Asylum archives for posts on dedicated AC lines.Take a look at the "Acoustics 101" document at www.auralex.com. Its primarily aimed at recording studio construction, but a lot of the same techniques are useable in home listening rooms. You might even think about hiring an acoustician. A local hi fi store that specializes in home theater installations may be able to recommend an acoustician.
Oh yeah - look in the archives at stereophile.com. J. Gordon Holt and Tom Norton wrote 2 very good articles on building listening rooms and both are archived there. I think one is called "Building the hi fi house". They'll get you thinking about some details that might not have otherwise occurred too you, such as reducing the noise of your heating and AC ductwork.
