Could you take out the vertical studs along the side walls, leaving the side walls as a V on it's side? I bet that would put the kibosch on side reflections.At least try to have as few squared up sides as possible. You'd be down to just the floor and a part of the ceiling to reflect from.
Definitely strengthen the floor. Oak as you say would be good.
Stay away from drywall. Do the walls, ceiling, etc. in wood. A cork rear wall would be good (front and rear).
Insulate. Use fibreglass.
