G'DayThe NAIM amps have an uncompensated lobe in the bode response.
This makes them VERY susceptible to oscillation. Even cables above a certain value of capacitance are well known to make them oscillate supersonically. This is part of the "harshness" that people hear with these amps.
Connected to a Linn Isobarik (a speaker I do not like much) the earlier NAIM 250 SNAPS amps did give a good account of themselves with these (4 ohm) speakers. Mostly however, they sound ordinary for the squllions that they cost.
