Yes, I'm aware that Vishay claim it's low L and I need to get some samples to verify their claim but my main point is that for jk to connect a whole lot of these up in series, the inductance will most likely be more than the sum of the parts. Anyway, it seemed to be common sense to advise a great single resistor or a very few in parallel to get the desired value, as opposed to series connection of a lot of low valued resistors.

In terms of capacitance, it also should be a very small number in that Vishay design and in this case, series is a good thing, as it reduces the effect that much more.

Well, quite frankly, I originally thought jk was going to come back with R values in the 10k to 100k range but the 518k value really surprised me. I'm glad you shed some additional light on the subject, thanks!
