Hey Victor or any other expert- your thoughts on a ckt design quesion pls

I've come to the no-brainer conclusion that Vishay metal foil resistors sound far better than the roderstiens that AR used in my phono pre-amp. Unfortunately, Vishay doesn't make them large enough to purchase a single resistor or even parrellel several to reach values in my RIAA feedback circuit. I will be forced to place several resistors in series to reach the proper value. Is ther anything I should watch out for?

My plan is to stack the resistors right on top of each other, wire wrap the series connections as tight as possible with out damage, cut off the excess wire leaving a 1/8 inch of wrapped wire, rosin, then solder this connection, cover with shrink wrap. I should know this but I've never asked before. In your opinion would such a configuration sound as good as resistors parrelled (to reach the same value) would?

Thanks to anyone who can help
