In my best designs, I use Resista, Holco, Caddock and Vishay. In that order. We do find differences between resistors. We 'mix and match' to get the best sound. Putting all Vishay into solid state equipment can be a problem, with too much 'clarity'. Holco tends to sound soft, and often helps normal solid state equipment. Resista is pretty balanced but has magnetic end caps. Caddock makes fine power resistors.
