Re: Wood Chassis

No challenges per se, but I suggest you think about ausing a metal (aluminum) enclosure and building the wood around it. A properly earthed metal enclosure is safe and offers shielding in (both directions)for EMI/RFI that could cause noise problems ither in this unit or nearby units (both directions, remember).

This is precautionary. It is entirely possible that you won't have any problems with a wood enclosure. You only really find out by trying it.
