Re: To add bypass or to swap out cap in crossover ?

If by bypass you mean adding a cap in parallel I'm unsure why you would want to do that, unless it's just a temporary thing for testing purposes. You'll change the value of the overall capacitance, which means you'll change the crossover frequency. You could clip various values into the circuit that way for listening tests. If the crossover freq is okay, it's my experience that putting high quality components in a crossover can improve the sound quality considerably if the replaced units are old/crappy/both.
