Re: To add bypass or to swap out cap in crossover ?

Thanks everyone for responding...

Been reading through the archives about adding bypass capacitors , and am confused/undecided over all the opposing arguments and "rules" put forward.....sigh!

OK, here are the facts of my case, the original caps are : -
Tweeter Cap = BENNIC XPP 3.0uF 5%
Woofer Cap = ALCAP 20uF
Hopefully in mentioning the original caps in the crossover, people who delt with these caps can share their experiences....

(1) So are these Bennic and Alcap respectable caps to add bypass , or better off to change to Mundorf ?

(2) Also, adding bypass would have changed the original capacitance value (for the tweeter, add 0.3uF to 3.0uF = 3.3uF , and for the woofer add 2.0uF to the 20uF = 22uF)......is this alright ?

Thanks again.....
