Well, in the true sense of the word, this is not isolation. Essentially, everything couples. it is impossible to set an object on top of something + isolate it from the something...adding mass between the speaker and floor reduces vibration passed into the floor. perfectly?, no. I'm saying that this method usually sounds very good + reduces vibrations significantly.
one note about these pavers I've recommended. these are a porous type of concrete, much like concrete block. + yes, porous objects tend to vibrate less than non/less porous objects.
