Re: * * * * Hip Joints: the Coda* * * *

Barry:

Okay, here is what I can do. I will repeat my statement from before where I said "I am sorry for the tone of my earlier posts. It was a mistake on my part to jump into all of this while I was so angry.". I think this covered the being "hot" issue. But, I never said you were a plagiarist. I said that your marketing language was "taken nearly verbatim from the many demonstrations and written pieces by Peter Bizlewich of Symposium Acoustics.". In truth, much of the language you use in discussing the Hip Joints(c) is similar to the language used by Symposium Acoustics, and other folks. But, I am not going to spend hours looking through posts to "prove" this. My belief is that the work done by Symposium changed the audio world, and one way is that everyone seems to have appropriated their "speak" about how things work. My mistake may be in assuming that it is wrong for someone else to then use the same language after it becomes part of the discipline’s jargon. So, for what it's worth, I WILL (and do) apologize for implying that you plagiarized Symposium's writings and talks.

But but BUT, I feel you have missed my point again (and again, and again) regarding Hip Joints(c). Please re-read my last post. I have not suggested that you stop giving Hip Joints(c) drawings away for free. I have said the group purchase was wrong. I also said that you should take the Hip Joint(c) activity off of the Asylum. I just can't understand why this is such a hard concept to follow. You are clearly a bright guy. Just read what I actually wrote (last couple of posts only, or we will be right back where we started).

Now, PLEASE, no more Fred in these discussions. I just can't do this anymore. You should please consider that the ONLY reason I even responded to your request is that I'm hoping this will END IT. But, in truth, making ME the focal point of this whole argument is a bit off mark.

Best wishes,

Fred Volz

BTW: I just now see (right as I was finishing my apology to you) that you've just posted another attack against me. How can you shed tears over the wrong that you feel has been done to you and not recognize that by responding to statements like "If a inventor gives his ideas to the public for free and a business steals it and gets a patient, who is the thief???" and "I have a feeling if there was no money involved for Fred he would have said nothing." reinforces what already seems to be a fairly slanderous pattern. Do you REALLY want to resolve this whole situation? That you KNOW I have no financial motive and that Symposium did not "steal" your design, but still fail to suggest this to the person to whom you responded with great "appreciation" for their "warm words of support" would indicate that his positions are yours, as well.

So, where do you stand here? Are you suggesting that I have been paid for my efforts? are you saying that Symposium has stolen your design? Because this is what TomWh just said. When he made these accusations, you said (in response to his suggestions you should not be put off by efforts to curtail your behavior), "I don't know for a fact this is possible given the predisposition of some to avoid the "inconvenience" of fact. It is easy to hide behind a keyboard and a moniker and offer cowardly imputations of another. Nevertheless, I believe these folks say much more about themselves than they do about any designated targets." Are you afraid to correct TomWh is HIS inflammatory statements? Or, are you just falling back into your old pattern?
