Julien,You hit the nail on the head. You designed it the proper way if the fridge noise lowered. Don't expect much more out of this unless your system is designed to magnify results. I have been in this hobby so long that sometimes I assume everyone has large AWG power cords and conditioners and interconnects. Everyones system will all be effected differently pending on these other set up's. My system uses a Tice PBIIIc with his Infinite Speed Reference Power Cable (unshielded) on every component inc. my Pioneer RPTV. The rest of my system is wired with WireWorld Gold Starlight II, III, Eclipse II, Atlantis (sub and rear speakers) and Equinox III speaker cables (front and center speakers). The wire signature sound is a little thin in the bass so any boost in the bass (I designed my ferrite filter to enhance bass frequencies or roll off some upper frequencies) is noticable. But as I have explained before you will have to play around with the types of ferrite, amount of loops and the tension between the wire and ferrite which includes spacing of the wire or to overlap the wire to suit your systems needs. The design that worked in my system was 4 loops with 18ga. lamp cord combined with the solid AQ RF Stopper (quality and type of ferrite is very important. I have not been able to repeat with good results using RS clamp on ferrites). I am not sure of how the others who have enjoyed this tweak constructed their model since I'm not there first hand to witness. I had to overlap the wire and keep the tension tight. When I installed mine in the junction box I rested the wire loop in between the house hot and neutral. I found that placement as well as orientation made a small difference to the performance I'm receiving.
