You will find that 1000 uF is a prohibitively large value to try and replace with a film cap. About 100 uF is a practical limit. A Solen 100 uF metalized PP cap goes for about $40 each. They are the only ones I know of that make such large film caps, and almost all other audio grade brands cost even more.Jon Risch
