I have done a few gigs at Disney, and have gotten to see their cabling system that runs from one end of the park to the other(several miles). The install was done in '72 and uses cable conduits filled with Nitrogen gas. I've examined these up close and they look as good now as the day of installation. No corrosion or degredation of conductor or insulation. I've run Video on these, and have seen them tested to many Mhz over a long distance with excellent results. You could try Nitrogen gas if you could make your connectors air tight. Disney keeps positive pressure in the conduit with a gas bottle always connected to the system. Couldn't be any stranger than Jim Aud's PAD water cable!Mike
