I have a Vacuum cable idea. What do you guys think?

64.24.43.155

A vaccum is suppose to be the best environment for a cable. So why not build one that will not cost 10K like the Tara Labs version (if it really is a vacuum).

My idea is to use a 6'long ~3" diameter PVC tube with an "elbow" at each end with maybe a 6" extension tube. Then use bare (no jacket)solid copper in a twisted or helical pattern and suspend it inside the tube by very thin slices of teflon tape. The ends of the tube will be sealed by PVC "caps" and only bananas will protrude through.
On it's own this would probably be really good, because you now have an air dieletric; but I would want to (if possible) go one step further and somehow vacuum all the air out of the tube. The circular shape of the pipe should be able to support a strong vacuum. But what device could be used to create the vacuum? And how could it be sealed fast enough with out letting any air in?

I hope I get a lot of responses. I'm really enthusiatic about this idea.
Thanks guys.
