Wow, that's a lot of info to sbsorb. As always the case in HiFi speakers, the design is oriented around driver characteristics. Driver selection, especially in my case which is intend to be used without a passive xo (active only), is critical. To achive the wonderful sound that I am looking for, I believe the xo point(after reading this discussion) need to be placed either 600Hz or lower, or 3000Hz or above. This speaker is designed to be used with a 2A3 tube amp on the top and a push-pull tube amp on the bottom. But this depend on the dirver selection. If the xo is at 3000 or higher, I may be forced to use a 300B amp for the bottom and is not ideal. Those drivers you have recommanded seems to be very promising. I need to check out their specs and do some thinking. After all, this is part of the fun of DIY projects. I'll be sure share my thoughts with you all. thanks!
