Actually, the TKDs weren't replacements, since the Laurels didn't have pots in them originally, and were fed by an active linestage. I've been thinking about going passive with something like the DACT or Welborne Ladders for a while, and figured it'd be worth the time and money (both very little) to throw the TKD pots in there to see if passive was even an option before putting the money into one of the more costly stepped attenuators.
As far as mounting/ground, all connections on the buzzing channel look as good as those on the non-buzzing channel...Rabie.
