Steve,Interesting that the hum increased when you replaced the pot. I recently replaced Blue Alps in my Quicksilver with a DACT and the hum actually decreased! In fact, I was shocked that the noise floor on my Line Stage actually decreased. The effect was an increase in detail and sound stage depth.
What about the mounting on the channel with the hum? Is it well grounded, i.e. good chassis connection?
