I have been familiar with Viennas for while and I think I know what you might be hearing. First, the Mozart is a better speaker. It uses a superior tweeter, better woofers, reaches lower in the bass, and has a transperency, as well as musical size and scale that Bach does not. BUT... For the longest time, I could swear that there was a special coherency and simplicity to Bach's sound that I didn't hear in the other speakers in the line. Something intimate. Something organic and un-speakerlike. It seems that each speaker has a little bit of its own persona. The gains in sound as you go up Vienna's line are not totally linear. However, set-up is everything. A well set up Bach will always sound better than a Mozart that is not well positioned. This may also be part of what I was experiencing and it might be what you are experiencing in that store. Upon hearing Mozart properly set-up, my previous misgivings about it evaporated. I realized I had never heard them before at all. But there is still something special about Bach so I guess I can agree with you.
