The notion of selling a lot and thus being good...

is also a falsehood. There are many reasons for selling a lot. People dog socialism for example and hail capitalism - yet socialism is a LARGE practice that for example helped get America out of the depression. It is also the socialist protectionism of homegrown business that has the American motor company still in business. Why? The governmental practice of limiting foreign car sales totals - if this wa s acapitalistic free market then Ford would have been gone years ago. Japanese makers simply were told sorry you can;t sell any more than X cars because our incompetant companies need help staying in business and we need to protect all the many jobs therein.

Bose is the biggest speaker maker in the world - larger than the next five combined. They are so large that they can get their products into everything and their name even stronger. For example they can outbiid anyone to get their speakers in cars, planes, and Best Buy. More and more people KNOW THE NAME. Just like they know the name McDonald's and Burger King -- but umm neither of these make the best Burgers.
