Personally I don't care for much of PF's output after Syd was unceremoniously dumped. Nor really the Byrds after Clark left. He wrote many or most of their better songs and was arguably the best singer in the band. Certainly both those bands changed sound and could easily be seen as having been better to have changed names.
I fail to see how selling records after Spence left would legitimise a reunion now.I don't think I have seen you complain of say The Who tours which feature only 2 of the band that made the records people want to hear.
I just wish you would put this spat with LWR behind you and get on with posting about music instead of how he is always wrong about something... anything!
And of course the point is that your opinion, or mine, doesn't mean anything. This gig will go ahead, those invited will like it or not and life will go on.
