We enjoy having music in the background while we work on cars, clean the garage, or other garage tasks. It is something we enjoy. Why not use a nicer setup if available or have the means to do so. I repurposed a Denon AV receiver and some pawn shop JBl speakers to use in the garage. Plays anything we can plug into it plus we can stream WiFi and Bluetooth. Our garage is exceptionally large,,,,extended 4 car garage in both depth and width.
Going to add a TV so I can switch EQ settings and catch a glimpse of musicians playing when I don't know who it is. Transistor is fine if all you want is some background music...-for us, we want music and whatever task we are doing, to be in unison so that we can work and enjoy music with better fidelity. Yeah, for some, so whatever, for others, it's a why not do it. It's not audiophile quality, but way better than transistor or Bose.
