I have a similar issue, although the universal sounds better and softer and recently some guys with B & W monitors heard it and said "sounds so smooth and clear." But they have SS AV receivers, one a high end Denon. I guess they're not that used to mid or upper fi.
Wait 'til they hear the turntables.What balanced power did you use? I was looking at Powervars but backed down, and my friend got a PS Audio and now advocates the new McGowan tweak the Audio Harvester. Opinion?
